Some of the similarities between Greece and England is that both countries found themselves under Roman rule. England, at the time, was not as developed as Greece. The history of both was affected by Roman rule and also by Roman collapse, but in quite different ways. In more recent times, both were threatened by facism. Greece, in particular, was invaded and occupied by the Italians and then the Germans in World War II. England, however, remained steadfast and was not invaded by any country.

Are you looking for similarities between Greece and England or between Greeks and English people?

If you are asking about Greece and England, do mean to inquire about each one's political state or geography?  Or are you looking for similarities in their history?

Many countries, in their development, have a monarchy.  This is true for both nations.  Both relied on kings at one time for government.  However, in Greece, there existed the city-state.  This was unique to Mediterranean countries in the time before the Roman dominance of the Western world.  England didn't really go through a comparable period.

However, speaking of the Romans, both countries found themselves under Roman rule.

In short, both countries have similarities in their history (I chose this tack since your question was posted under "History."), but they are only very general similarities.  Both have quite different paths that brought them to where they are today.
