Which Is The Best Honeymoon Destination In Europe?

I've been to all the places suggested except Edinburgh and can honestly say none of them would be bad places to honeymoon except possibly Rome. Don't get me wrong, Rome is wonderful, but it is also loud, dirty and darn difficult to drive in so I would suggest you save it for another time.

In Europe you have to have a civil ceremony before you can have a church ceremony so my wife and I got married in Denmark and honeymooned in Copenhagen before we rented the chapel in a castle in Germany and honeymooned in Salzburg & Vienna.

I'd add the second two to your list, but not Copenhagen. It isn't exactly a romantic city and with all the topless secretaries getting sun in the parks during their lunch break you might end up fighting more than necessary.

For me and many other friends of mine are: Venice (Italy), Florence (Italy), Positano (Italy), Paris (France), Côte d'Azur (France), Mikonos (Greece), Santorini (Greece) and Athens (Greece). I recommend a Cruise for visiting the most important islands in Greece.

The honeymoon capital of Europe is, without a doubt Santorini. Santorini is known and loved for its breath taking, romantic views. It is a couple's island, located in the Greek Dodenanese (12 island) group in the ionic sea.

The main city of Santorini is Fira, located in the cliff of the island. There you can sit at a wonderful romantic restaurant and just absorb the views.  You can easily spend 5-7 days in Santorini and combine the visit with a couple of days in Athens.

Venice and Paris seems romantic to me. Rome is wonderful - visiting the Vatican, Sistine Chapel - words can't even explain how wonderful that is. Dubrovnik, Croatia - what a hidden gem that is. If you are together, it won't matter where you are - it will be wonderful and in love.

If you take my suggestion then the most romantic honeymoon destinations in Europe are Paris and Venice. You can also look for Edinburgh as one of the options. But the best place among all is Switzerland.
