No, going on holiday to South Korea is a great idea! And as they say, you only live once... Having sensible plans for your career or studies is good too, but if you get the chance to travel, I would highly recommend it.
I went to South Korea a few years ago. Amazing food, really nice people, and lots of interesting stuff to visit.
