One of my favorite place to vacation and have a good time. The thing is that Thailand is so versatile for whatever kind of vacation I feel like I having. It has everything.

Sightseeing? So many places to go, tons of temples, museums, etc.

Shopping? I could spend all day in Siam. It's hard to find malls like the ones there. In terms of amenities, and mall food actually being good. Wholesale shopping experience at MBK is amazing, I got a bunch of band T-shirts with THREADED logos for a few baht, that would normally sell for $60+ in the US. Central Embassy is my all time favorite in the world.

Miss the beach? Pattaya is great for other things, but I hop on a boat to Koh Lam for a better beach.

But sometimes I just want to check out of my 5 star and wind down in a dirt motel on Khao San rd. Enjoy a bottle of beer, massages, and a bunch of street food.

Don't know what it's like there now but I was stationed there a couple of years at Udorn in the 70's. Seemed like a nice country if not a little wild. You could do or see anything you could think of there. I would go back to visit again. Overall? A nice country.

I love Thailand for lot's of reasons & I have travelled extensively through the country. The people are exceptionally friendly & always very helpful. There are so many beautiful places in Thailand so it's hard to pick a favourite. I love the night life in BKK, but you should be aware of where you are at all times. A real mellow place to visit is Chiang Mai. It's a very beautiful area & once you get out of the city, it's very rustic & beautiful. I love to travel every year, in different places like I visited to Alabama, Thailand, New York and Paris also.
