Should we have daylight savings time?

I wish they would do away with that ! It's a pain to set all the clocks and I don't really see what the difference is anymore. Always takes a week or so to get used to the time change. If they dumped it? It sure wouldn't break my heart any.

The main purpose of Daylight Saving Time (called "Summer Time" in many places in the world) is to make better use of daylight. We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. Countries have different change dates.

We don't have daylight savings here, and I don't miss it.

We've had it for ages and while I don't mind, I don't really benefit, either. I guess I'm with the guy in the pic below:

Here is what my parents told me, when I was young and asking about such things...

Daylight Savings Time was rejected by popular vote many times in the early 20th century. But it does benefit businesses, because people have another hour of daylight to be out spending money.

I personally do not like it, I love the long slow mornings in summer. And I have read there are increased car wrecks for many days after the time change, people's body rhythm takes a while to adjust.

I would rather keep Daylight Saving Time and not go back to standard time. I just seem to do better on it.
