on over 22 hours of driving for this journey plus stop offs for fuel and rest. That's at least three days in the best case scenario and sticking to major highways all the way. Catching the airplane north sounds like a much easier option and probably will work out as cheap as, if not much less than, driving, paying for fuel and overnight accommodation. Plus the same on the way back...
