If you were flying via somewhere else (which I suspect you would have to do as I believe there are no direct flights from Milwaukee to Rome, for example) you would be looking at actual flying time of around 11 hours (possibly 11 hours 30 minutes). That would be flying via somewhere like Atlanta for example and doesn't include the "transit" time while you are on the ground, which can vary depending on how long it is until your connecting flight.
