Tourism has changed over the last 50 yeas. People travel at different time of the years by means of different 50 years ago people would go to Cornwall for a day, now you can go to America for a week or two. One of the reasons why people didn’t stay long was that there weren’t many attractions for you to go and do and more sites for you to see. Air, rail and road transport has increased, also car ownership has gone up by three million since 1998 but people still mostly travel by plane (which isn’t helping Global Warming at all).
