Canada is the second largest country in the world. Russia stands to be the largest country. The total area of Canada is 9,984,670 sq km while that of Russia is 17,075,200 sq km. Canada occupies most of Northern America and extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, northward into Artic Ocean. To the south and the northwest, Canada shares its borders with the United States of America. Although Canada ranks as the second largest country in the world, its population is less compared to that of the United States which ranks third. Canada's population growth is mainly due to immigration which has greatly influenced its culture and traditions. Culture varies from region to region. These cultures and traditions have made Canada an ethnically diverse country.
