Chingford is a town cum suburban development in the Waltham Forest Borough of London. Chingford lies to the South and West of Epping Forest and it has Charing Cross to its South West. It lies to the East of River Lea and the reservoir of King George.

Chingford is located close to Ponders End, Edmonton, Loughton, Sewardstone, Buckhurst Hill and Walthamstow. The town is accessible by the Railway Stations of Chingford and Highams Park.

There are two famous landmarks in Chingford; the first is an obelisk that was placed on the same line running north from Greenwich's Royal Observatory. The obelisk ended up nineteen feet of the mark when the meridian was shifted later. The other is a hunting lodge named after Queen Elizabeth. The lodge is now a tourist attraction.
