Houston, has everything including me, Otis and you can tour his historic Shine manufacturing facilities, he also gives tasty 😋 samples and see a real native Texas born cat.
I would suggest driving through the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. It's just beautiful and cooler in the summer time. Really great scenery and antiquing.
Come north, to Alberta. You can stop at Yellowstone on the way, and then visit the Calgary Stampede.
