Do you think it is a good idea to travel with friends, or alone? How about with your family?

I've mostly only traveled with my husband since we've been married forever.  I might do a trip on my own, but would much prefer to go with friends or other family members too.

I always enjoyed traveling alone. I haven't had many good experiences with traveling with friends. My rule is: "The back seat doesn't exist. Find your own ride." Other than that, it's mostly just me and my wife.

Well, it's clearly not the same with everyone. It is up to your comfort zone. For years I had deluded myself into thinking that I enjoyed more with friends than with family. However, now Ive realized family members are actually more caring to me than anyone else. Their care can be pretty boring at times, but whats better than that? I would prefer travelling alone though, because I'm more at home when Im alone.

Each has it's own perspective and cons and pros. It depends on the destination and personality of each members you wanna choose to travel with.

For instance, to me, i can't never handle my mother for a travel, not because she's a bad person or anything common! Just she's not a travel person! Sensitive on hotels and resident, too sensitive on food, bathroom must be available any second she needs it, simply she wants every home comfort available so she better stays at home then!!!

I never travel alone, always with friends or family. As I prefer travelling with a partner and we can talk with each other, sometimes we can help with each other as well.

I have no problem traveling alone, But definitely with friends or family. You can't have fun all alone because no one else can enjoy it with you.

I enjoy traveling with friends, altho traveling alone is fine.  Wife and I met some nice folks on a cruise back in (I think)  2001.  We got along so well that the four couples have been meeting up for a week or so every year since.  We've visited Canada three times, Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Tennessee, Ohio, Califonrnia, Pennsylvanis, Maine together.
