Yes. Don't overload Mr. Happy with unnecessary gear, watch out for uninvited dinner guests, don't forget your bug spray and most importantly, have a safe trip and enjoy yourselves. I have no parting words because I know you'll be back. :)
I'm headed to the mountains for two weeks of dry camping. Any words of advice? If I don't make it out alive, any parting words?
Don't eat yellow snow. No, that is not a nice steamy pile of chocolate.
Have fun and reeeelllllaaaaxxxx.
Bring some extra shine the bears are thirsty
Following the others advises.
-Gather some water source. I suggest sportive bottles. They keep the water cold for several hours and protected against the heat.
-Make sure to have enough Hygiene equipment with yourself.
-Don't make your bags too heavy. Avoid unnecessary carriers.
-Have some back up for some possible situation.
-Don't forget flares
-Don't forget flashlights
-Pick up small gears of nutrition. (energy bars for instance)
-I suggest you make a bottle of a special trip recipe i used to have sometimes. (a bottle of honey mixed with walnut and pistachio) it's good for boosting stamina, filling the hunger and taking control of body's pressure rates.
-Defensive equipment for emergency. Knives and guns (extra ammo)
-Pick up suit cloths estimating the weather and unexpected actions.
-Pick up the nice shoes, regarding you might not be always inside your RV or vehicle. You might want to be able to walk in the most suitable supportive condition.
-Be careful with trusting unknown people around unreliable locations.
After all, relax and enjoy your time. I wish you all the best and stop that! You'll be back safe and sound, healthy and happy! Very happy! Mrs and Mr Happy! :)
Will miss you and looking up to your happy return. Have fun :)
Bring plenty of extra ammo !
Yes.
Have fun.
1) obey all traffic laws.
2) "To really enjoy doing this you'll need be able to camp without hookups for water, electric, and sewer."
When hiking, always a carry a compass, a whistle, water, and a walking stick. And have a great time!
I have never been camping..... Sorry Happy......
The only advice I could come up with is "If you see the tepee rocking don't come a knocking!" LOLOLOL!
Anyways have fun, be safe, come back and tell us all about it!!!!! :0)
Dearest Happy,
Just reading your post I am sensing the visuals of your trip...even the smells...
You will be using that new power generator I am sure, and wonderful fun...no special advice, just delight that you are going.
Here's a great outdoor chili recipe that tastes SOOOO GOOO while camping :
In a Dutch oven, brown plenty of hamburger or finely cut stew beef. Add a chopped fine small yellow onion, green pepper (optional), chopped tomatoes (Roma tomatoes are best), and plenty of fresh garlic (or garlic spice) . Add a package of Williams Chili Seasoning Spice to make things easier as far as seasoning . I add a few cans of pinto beans to mine, and then add a larger container of V-8 juice and that makes it SO tasty.
Cook over an open fire until thick-about an hour and enjoy .
This recipe is delicious and easy for indoors and outdoors too !
Have a wonderful time!! ❤️
Happy, have a wonderful time! Well see you when you get back :)
