Melbourne!
It's traditional. All Sydneysiders say they hate Melbourne and all Melbournites say they hate Sydney.
So we, in Sydney, know that Tasmania was not named for Abel Tasman who first circumnavigated the place but is really an aboriginal word meaning, "Not far enough from Melbourne."
And Nullarbor (the name of the great plain that separates the west coast from the rest of Oz means "Still not far enough from Melbourne."
Seriously? It's a lovely city, very cosmopolitan, but if you tell any of those Melbournites I said that I'll call you a liar.
Now there is one city I'd really NOT rather visit and that's Pyongyang.
Tehran.
Pyongyang.
Moose Jaw Saskatchewan.
Maybe many years ago if I had been around but otherwise ? Chicago !
I went to Washington D.C. For a few days this summer for business travel.... I found it a bit overwhelming for me ..... Too crowded and busy. I liked the museums very much though. So my answer is Detroit then ... I don't know :)
