Comfort Inn is usually what we end up with. Just like with anything it all depends on where you go and the individual customer service they have. (I like one Del Taco by my house but despise the other just cuz of their customer service.) In Arizona we stayed a week at the Comfort Inn. The grave yard shift ladies were awesome, sweet, kind, caring, attentive, helpful. The day shift lady, she was cold and rude. I just stuck with the night-shift ladies and it was a pleasant stay. :0)

I'm with Yin on this one. Never been disappointed with Comfort Inn and their prices are middle of the road. I have booked through Booking.com to get a good deal. About $85/night in Kearney, Nebraska. I'm sure that rate will vary from city to city.

The best was Four Seasons. It is pricey, but very nice! Most of the time we use Comfort Inn or La Quinta. I often travel with my dogs and La Quinta takes dogs of all sizes and don't charge a pet fee. With Comfort Inn some take pets some don't. Some will only take dogs up to 20 lbs. Almost all the Comfort Inns I have been to have been clean and friendly. Some weren't great neighborhoods, but if you check on sites like TripAdvisor.com you can usually find out info like that.
