Hi Ames, Why not?

I don't know. I just never had the thought of going to one cross my mind. That and I've also found it kind of wrong to trap animals in a small area so people can stare at them all day.

I am adamantly opposed to zoos or any other facility that keeps WILD animals in cages or "habitats" purely for human entertainment.

Not a big fan of zoos .. Actually I find the practice of holding animals captive and forced to endure unnatural (and even sometimes torchurous) treatment abhorrent .. All for the sake of entertainment

I'm with everyone else on this. I absolutely do not think animals need to be caged up just so we can spend a few minutes looking at them. For them, it's a lifetime held in captivity - for what purpose?

I like the San Diego Zoo. It's really awesome and one of the best zoos in the world. I went there this summer. It's also a cageless zoo and is known for being better than a lot of other ones. I don't like seeing animals suffer either, but I don't get that feeling when I go to the San Diego Zoo.

I went to Australia Zoo in grade 9, but that was the last time I've been to a zoo, and it's an hour and a half car ride from where I live.  I haven't been to one with my family since I was little.

I really do not like going to zoos, but when I visited Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center, I was left in awe. It is a sanctuary and not just a zoo for entertainment purposes. It is a safe sanctuary that cares for animals rescued from illegal wildlife trade. It holds over 1,200 numbers of animals in 102 species including rare animals like Siamese crocodiles and Malayan sun bears. I even met Chhouk, it is an elephant that was saved and has a prosthetic leg. Very wonderful and close encounter to the animals.

Hi
Jann! I always enjoy my local zoo! It is so green and fresh and the animals are
all pretty happy. The last visit was probably about a year ago. However, my
wife did not have as much fun, she quickly got tired and did not enjoy walking
around the place!
