I wouldn't worry so much about getting into Pakistan but I would worry about getting out of Pakistan without your passport. It is a little crazy over there right now, as I'm sure you know much more about it than I do.
Be careful not to get trapped there, specially if you have invested a lot of time into your life in the UK.
I had a friend that is from Canada and went home to visit and couldn't get back to the US. He has invested lots of time and energy here in the US and the poor guy can't come back for another 5 years.
