If all is well at home and they pay you well to take that trip, then Yes , I would accept it. I've taken quite a few trips like that over the years. Make sure all is well at home first before you make that decision. 6 months is a long time but it's easy enough to communicate by phone or Skype.

If the company would invite me for a 6 months business trip, it would mean that they know that I am capable to represent the company overseas and that they are aware that I will do fine even if I am away from my family for 6 months. I would accept the offer provided that it is an all expenses paid trip and they will be handling the necessary requirements for travel like the visa with a promise of fulfilling the tasks that needs to be done.
