I've never really had the need to take public transportation. Way out here in the burbs, we only have an occasional bus which is mostly for the senior citizens.
I lived in dallas for acouple of years they have great public transportation but where i live now you better have a car or a bicycle . I have my bicycle dallas had a great rail system
Metro 🚌.
I like to drive .. But it's most fun riding on a train. I used to take a commuter train to work every day and loved it. My husband and I are planning to take the train to NYC this summer. A great way to see the sights and be able to relax along the way too.
We are getting quite the rail system in L.A. They've made it out to the suburbs too. It's very convenient. I have a train station about a mile from my house. I can take it almost anywhere.
The public transport system is pretty good in Oz. Ferries are my favourites, but they mostly only go where there's water for them to get their feet wet. Other than that I'd rather go by train. As soon as I sit down, out comes a book and I become oblivious of my surroundings until we are magically deposited at our destination.
My round trip to work was something over 60 kms and when you multiply that 5 or 6 times a week over a period of 40 years, I probably travelled far enough to get to the moon and back. (Makes me wonder why they made such a big fuss about the Apollo 11 landing.) I must have worked my way through three entire libraries during that time.
