That all depends on where you are cruising. If you want to cruise in the Caribbean, I would suggest April. Spring Break is over so no rowdy college kids. And summer vacations haven't started so there is not a lot of over tired kids crying, or running all over the place. It is also not too hot like summers can be. It is also before hurricane season. Winter months can be less expensive but the seas tend to be rougher.

We've always gone in the fall and winter. Earliest was a short cruise to the Bahamas. Latest was March from the Left coast thru the Panama Canal. Did one just before Christmas, and that seemed to be the least crowded. Lots of vacant tables at dinner. Weather for all of them was fine.
