Orlando is approximately 40 miles from the coast, the nearest being due east at Titusville, a drive of some 45 minutes usually.

You might wish to check out the Canaveral National Seashore and Blackpoint Wildlife Drive Park which are to the north of the John F Kennedy National Space Centre.

Going west from Orlando, the nearest coastline is over 90 miles away.

Orlando is situated in the state of Florida and lies on the Atlantic coastline itself. The city is 106 feet above sea level and speeds over an area of 93.5 km out of which 19.3 km is water. Orlando falls under the Orange County area and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Florida as the famous amusement park Walt Disney World is situated right outside the Orlando city limits.

As the town lies on the Atlantic coast, it has some of the most beautiful beaches of south Florida. The four best beaches within a 90-minute drive from the city are Cocoa Beach Pier, Canaveral National Seashore, South Daytona Beach and Indialantic Beach. These beaches have something for everyone from surfing, fishing, diving or even a romantic retreat.
