I'm Considering Moving To Stockport. Which Areas Should I Not Consider And Why?

Adswood!!! Not nice - must be the roughest part of Stockport. There is a huge open cast household tip which is going to be concreted over to make a new car parking facility for Manchester Airport. The council estate is notorious for local villains but surprisingly Adswood is bordered by nice areas - Cheadle Hulme, Davenport etc.

I live in Lees Oldham at the moment and was already considering Bramhall but will now take a peek at Hazel Grove. Thanks to cute joy.

Don't move to edgeley either. I live here now and can't wait to find somewhere else to live.

I live in Reddish and it is rough , so concider marple,heaton moor or denton

I am also considering moving to stockport due to my partner getting a job in bredbury. Can anyone advise if bredbury is nice or not? Ive driven over and it looks ok but the last thing I want to do is buy a house there and find out when it is too late!

Cheadle and Cheadle Hulme are nice areas of Stockport. I agree about Adswood - not a nice place. Marple and Marple Bridge are great but not really in Stockport. They're just outside and if you need to commute into Stockport or Manchester for work then rush hour is a nightmare.

I live in Cheadle Heath across the road from the Swthamely estate, its lovely and nothing compared to Burnage where I used to live. The kids here walk around like they are all bad and rough in their designer gear, but they are soft compared to some of the kids where we used to live- they carry guns and knives now! Got to love Stockport, although I would not choose to live in Adswood or some parts of Edgeley.

Do not live in offerton estate its really bad!! Bramhall is a nice place and so is marple & marple bridge.
