On the Flamingo Land website (www.flamingoland.co.uk), it is stated that the National Express drops off at York and from York or you can catch the Yorkshire Coastliner from York railway station, which drops off at Flamingo Land.

The website provides the following contact details for transport providers:
•    National Express - 08705 808080
•    Yorkshire Coastliner - 01653 692 556 or 0113 244 8976

There are also alternative modes of transport to getting the bus. The closest railway station to Flamingo Land is Malton, which operates one train per hour to and from Scarborough, also calling at Seamer.

By car, from the A64/A170, Flamingo Land is situated off the A169 Malton to Pickering Road.

The exact location of Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo is at:
Kirby Misperton,
Malton,
North Yorkshire,
United Kingdom.

The concept for Flamingo Land was first developed in 1959, when an old bankrupt country and social club was bought up by Scarborough resident and local entrepreneur Edwin Pentland Hick. It was initially called 'The Yorkshire Zoological Gardens' and Hick had grand plans to bring a wide variety of animals to the park. A colony of pink flamingos were among the first animals to be housed on the site and soon became a kind of mascot for the park, leading to its re-naming as Flamingo Land.

In the modern day Flamingo Land attracts 1.8 million visitors per year and is the 12th most visited theme park in Europe.
