There are a number of countries within Africa and around the world in which Zimbabwe has a reciprocal agreement with regard to VISA. This means that those who hold a Zimbabwean passport do not need a special VISA to travel to these locations, at least when traveling for certain purposes.

There are also several countries in Africa in which an individual who has been granted entrance to Zimbabwe on a passport from any nation in the world can travel to locations across southern Africa without needing to secure another VISA to cross borders.

In some instances, it is membership by different nations in an organization or group that results in special VISA waivers for individuals from those nations. In some instances, it is possible for people who are traveling to multiple locations to obtain VISA waivers when visiting particular locals within different neighboring countries, as is the case with many of the parks found throughout southern Africa.

So, in other words, there must either be a membership agreement or a reciprocal VISA agreement in place in order for you to be able to travel on a Zimbabwean passport to particular locations. The biggest membership organization of interest for the Zimbabwean passport holder is the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The UNIVISA is a status developed by the SADC that allows member states to grant access without special VISA requirements. These include individuals coming from all over the world for tourist reasons, but also include members of the southern African states, including Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland and Angola. These nations also usually share common borders and national parks that cross those borders.

Those with a Zimbabwean passport may also travel to Canada without a special VISA, as well as a few other nations. Every nation grants special status to particular groups traveling for specific reasons on a regular basis. The best way to determine which countries you can visit is to check the tourist and business VISA status pages of the country's websites prior to planning a visit.
