I almost got scammed from a couple in Cameroon too. They told me that they relocated to Cameroon for some business thing and didnt have enough time to take care of the pups. I went as far as to send them money and then cancel. I had such a sick feeling in my tummy. Such idiots. How messed up! They are still trying to tell me that they arent scammers. Don't BELIEVE THEM! A puppy can't come from cameroon to Louisiana in 9 hours. NOT POSSIBLE!!

Wow... I also have been emailing a woman who says that her and her husband have just moved to camaroon to help with the malayria parasite in pregnant women and don't have time to take care of their two yorkie puppies. She said I could have them for free if I'd pay the shipping cost which is $180. She said she had already booked the flight and as soon as I sent the money they would be sent to me. This woman also portrayed herself as a christian. I am glad I just so happened to research how long a flight would take from Camaroon to Oklahoma and accidentally stumbled across this before sending my money. The only thing worrying me is the fact that she has all my personal info like my address and name and phone number. Does anyone know of a way to prosecute these people? I think I will email her back and tell her to check out this web address.

Yes, it's a scam. They do not have pups (bulldogs, yorkies, french bulldogs, are very common as well as other normally expensive dog breeds or something you let them know you wanted, no animal is exempt but some are more common), or birds, or horses or monkeys or whatever YOU posted in your wanted add. Be wary of anybody selling pups out of the country no matter what stories they have made up designed to gain your trust and tug your heart strings and avoid anything that is too good to be true. It probably is. Do a search on puppy scams.

IF YOU SEE THIS ITS TOTAL SCAM..... Thanks for the e-mail and sorry for my late reply. My Cute and lovely puppy is a still available for adoption.  She is  Called Flynn. She is very  cute and Lovely  puppy.  She is health registered and current on all shots and vaccines . She is an Assertive, Energetic, Affectionate and playful little baby. She has an Excellent temperament,Good pedigree and is house broken and Potty trained . Flynn is a very loving pet especially with kids. She is for adoption to any home promising to take good care of her . Flynn is 3 months old. I am looking for any lovely home that can take her and give her enough care and attention which she needs , I will really love that you promise me that you are going to take good care of her for me, so in guiding me look for a lovely home for Flynn , I will like to know the following from you:   I will be happy to get these details from you so that they can guard me in making a manual which the puppy can take along which will guard you on basics of taking care of her and also basics on feeding. My reason for Re-homing Flynn is because I just got my Scholarship to further my course in Australia and the Australian Government does not allow Animals to get into their Country due to their Strong Quarantine restriction Law  .I am Located in Victoria Island Northern Cameroon where the puppy will be coming from. I love my Puppy So much So that I want her to go only to a loving and approved home. You will just have to take care of the shipping fee which will cost $100 for Flynn and you will have to pay the money for the shipping directly to the shipping company that will be doing the transportation . I will be waiting to get this Information from you and you will assure me that you will take good care of the puppy for Me.

To the one about the english bulldogs I have been emailing the same people about the same dogs and someone has been calling me all morning wanting me to check my email and when I did it was wanting me to send money western union. I did not because I feel they are scamming me sorry I have two kids and not about to just give my money away like that if they or anyone asks you to send money western union don't because thats how they are able to keep doing what they are doing because with western union nobody not even the police can trace it I was scamed years ago by a loan company I was in a bind and needed money to pay my bills and I found a loan company they wanted me to send $190 for my fees and I did and never seen my loan I was trying to get I went to the police and there was nothing they could do because they could not trace a western union. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Yea we are also suppose to be receiving a Yorkie from somewhere over there called Maroua, Cameroon and they are apparently scamming ppl for money. The lady supposedly said it would only take 9 hours to get the puppy from there to Louisiana. So who knows that person has also portrayed to be a christian and all this in her emails she sent to us. Be careful

This person told me that her husband died, and he was the one that was going to take care of the pups, so now that he is gone she just wants to give them away. She also told me that she lived in victoria island cameroon. It is fake. If the person is bad at faking, you can tell it's a fake if the pups from the litters have different ages, like this chick tried to do to me. She said two of the pups were 10 weeks, and one was 9 weeks and the other 11. DON'T listen to them if they tell you they are from victoria island cameroon!!! They are rude, pathetic liars.

I happened to stumble across your post by accident.  I, too, have an offer to buy a dog from Cameroon (Victoria Island).  Got me wondering.  Is this perhaps a scam or something dishonest?   This seems very co-incidental.   Did you ever get your pet?

I have a women offering a dog for free to. But she said that she would send the dog and the papers to us. We are not sending her money. She requested money for the change of the owner on the papers. We told her that we will take the papers and the dog and we will change it here. When the puppy and the papers arrive. This is rather strange. The dog she was offering was a springer spaniel. I'll keep you posted.

I just got the same offer from a woman named Sapina Manda. She is only charging $95 for transfer of ownership and wanted me to mail her the $$. I asked if I could pick the puppy up in person. I don't know if she intended to ship the puppy for me at no cost? I thought this was too good to be true.

I too have been e-mailing these people about adopting white Pomeranians. This has got to be a scam. It sounds to good to be true. But they started asking me personal questions like if I was married or had kids. What does this concern them. And the price does not even make sense. $400 for a white pom! I had a Pom 16 years ago and it cost $650 back then.

These things do concern responsible breeders. They do try emulate some of the things that people are advised to look for in a responsible breeder as it helps with their scam besides the too good to be true offers often on breeds of dogs that are usually very expensive or targeted from a wanted add. If you know dogs and breeding practices some of it doesn't actually make sense, a lot of times the papers and stuff but sounds good to the unaware, that's what they are supposed to be looking for.

I found a add on Pennysaver about a man names Peter Belmond who just moved from boston to Victoria.  He is trying to get rid of 2 bulldog puppies.  He said everything is free and just needs my name number and a close airport.  He said it would take 5-6 hours direct flight (flight takes 37+hours).  He keeps saying he has reserved both for me and I happened to find an identical picture of the same dog on a google search of bulldog pictures.  I smell a scam, I just can't figure out the scam when he is not asking for money.

That's funny. Now I think they have moved to Equine. I have been receiving correspondence from someone on St. Victoria island in Cameroon offering a beautiful Arabian and a foal. Free to a Good Home and is willing to transport at no cost.
