There are actually seven famous stretches of beach in Cyprus. They are located in Kyrenia, Lefke, Famagusta, Agia Napa, Limassol, Larnaca and Protaras.

Kyrenia has several beaches. These beaches offer a variety of water sports, including water skiing, parascending, diving, wind-surfing and jet skiing.

Lefke is an area that many beaches which have crystal-clear water. They also offer a plethora of opportunities to participate in water sports.

Famagusta has miles of sandy beaches, most of which are owned by hotels which charge the visitors an entrance fee. Apart from watersports, tourists can also enjoy lounging around in the beach bars, on the sun loungers and under the sun shades.

Agia Napa is the most famous location for beaches in Cyprus. It has miles of silvery sandy beaches, and is another hotspot for water sports.

Limassol is a beach that has dark coarse sand and pebbles. Dassoudi, located at a distance of about two miles to the east of the town of Limassol, is the most famous beach is Cyprus. The facilities here are world-class. The other famous beaches in the Limassol area are Lady's Mile (which is located at a distance of about three miles to the west of the old town of Limassol) and Curium (which is located at a distance of about ten miles to the west of the town of Limassol).

Larnaca is a city which offers miles of safe sandy beaches. The main beaches in the city of Larnaca are McKenzie and Dhekelia Beach.

Protaras stretches to a distance of about five kilometres to the northeast of Cape Greko and extends further to the north of Pernera. The beaches in Protaras are world-class and famous for their water sports facilities.
