Country side

The UK is famous for its countryside, its rolling hills and green fields. One of the best places to experience this is in the south west county of Somerset. London would arguably be the most impressive city in the UK to visit, not only due to its size. There are many places attractions and things to see in this historic city. A few must see attractions include; Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge and many more. I think holidaying in the UK is vastly underrated (mostly by those who live here) because you can do just about anything!

Okay, the weather isn't always the best, so that's a consideration. If you come for a week in February you probably don't need to worry about packing your sunscreen and flip flops. But there's always wet weather alternatives too, so don't despair!

London. For a city break, you can't really look beyond London. Amazing shopping, culture, parks, restaurants- you name it, London has everything. Huge, yes, but it's easy to get around on the Tube, and the different parts of the city all have a unique feel to them, so it's worth venturing out of the centre to experience some real London life.

Cornwall. If you are lucky enough to get some English summer, then Cornwall and Devon in the southwest have some incredible beaches and scenery on a par with anything you'd see in mainland Europe.

Wales. The Welsh culture is great, the language is funny sounding and the people are lovely. Well worth a visit! Fantastic mountains, valleys, and rural spots for hiking.

This is just the tip of the iceberg (not literally, I don't think we have any icebergs here...), there are some other fantastic places, it really depends what kind of break you're after.

Grab a guide and do your research, I'm sure the UK will have exactly what you're looking for.
