GoogleEarth says that the straight line distance is 540 miles ( 868 km)
Finding the road distance proved difficult. Mapquest, googlemaps and yahoo all resolutely refuse to figure it out for me.
And the reason is.. You can't drive there. The roads literally don't exist to connect Nome to most the rest of Alaska. Nome's tourist info says that flights to Anchorage only take about 75 minutes, though.
