As long as your passport is valid you are OK to travel, I presume that you are just coming on holiday but if coming to live and its due to expire I would recommend you renew before you leave the UK. There is a British Consulate in Las Palmas who can issue emergency passports for Lanzarote otherwise we send them to Madrid.
