I am waiting for the approval of my permanent resident status and my philippine passport will expire on April 6, 2009. Will this affect my status here in the U.S. With an expired Philippine passport. Should I really wait for my approval before I renew my soon to expire passport?

I think it would be best to call the offices in SanFrancisco, or perhaps the INS (Immigration and NAturalization Service-US) for a better answer than I can provide.
