Herning can be sited to the west of the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Berlin is to the east centre of Germany. Herning is connected to the capital by road, rail and air, but does not have an international airport. Private airplanes can however land at the Herning airfield. The first leg of the journey will have to be from Berlin to Copenhagen from where you may choose of the several options available. Trains belonging to the DSB or the state owned railway company leave on an hourly basis for Herning. A drive down from Copenhagen takes around three and a half hours by road.
