I have a filipino nanny with visa for leave to remain in England.  We want to take her on holiday to France.  How do I go about getting her a visa?  How long will it take to process.  We want to go for July and August.  Many thanks

You are not a US citizen yet. You have to get visa for France and Switzerland. Once you have US passport in your hand you can travel to Europe without a Visa.

You will need to contact the French embassy. They will tell you the requirements.

In the US you can mail your passport to a foreign embassy and they will stamp it and mail it back to you, I would suspect things can be done the same way there.

Have you become a citizen as yet ...because a permanent resident may not mean citizen right ? If you are a citizen then you wont need a VISA to mostly countries around the world
