Hi, I read about  your problem and I decided to answer cause I do have abit experience on this matter, but I won't tell you that its better to marry there or here in Germany its up to you to decide after knowing my story, I will just tell you some facts what I did to shorten my stay there. It took me 6-8 months to complete all my papers and my visa ( some ladies at the embassy told me it will take long maybe 2 years perhaps ) but I didn't  believe them and just go on with my plan, it would be earlier  if I didn't forget the parents consent to marry In Germany or a German Guy . I apply for a FIANCE VISA and got married here in Germany. This kind of visa will give you 90 days to stay in Germany but at this period of time I think you will be married ( just have a Small wedding to shorten time and have a bigger one later ).if you decide to have a Fiance visa please verify first all the new laws and condition cause I apply for it last 2005 so maybe there are few changes happen. Ok By the was sorry for my grammar and no comma or periods cause Ich have keine los hehhehehehehe hope you can come here as soon as possible Gud Luck  bye.

I'd like to say thank you for this information Writer..
I really need your help and ideas about this matter.I'm a Filipina and my boyfriend is a Greek but was born in Germany and he wants to get married in Germany not in Philippines..He already consulted an official in Germany and told him that I must apply a Schengen visa in the Philippines. We don't know what's the best way either fiancé visa or this Schengen visa...? Now,I'm getting some informations regarding this matter since I can't ask and report directly in the German embassy in Manila because I'm currently staying and working here in Taiwan.I hope you can give me a vivid advice and tips...Do you have an agent when you processed your papers?Thank you so much..God bless..

It is better to marry in your country in Philippine and after marriage apply for Permanent Residence with German Spouse. You have to apply in German Embassy in Philippine. For details of Germany Embassies in Philippine, click this link

Getting married in the Philippines would be better in my opinion because you have to wait long to get a Fiance Visa rather than a Spouse Visa. For more information on Marriage in the Philippines with a German Citizen, please visit this blog:
