Hi, I read about your problem and I decided to answer cause I do have abit experience on this matter, but I won't tell you that its better to marry there or here in Germany its up to you to decide after knowing my story, I will just tell you some facts what I did to shorten my stay there. It took me 6-8 months to complete all my papers and my visa ( some ladies at the embassy told me it will take long maybe 2 years perhaps ) but I didn't believe them and just go on with my plan, it would be earlier if I didn't forget the parents consent to marry In Germany or a German Guy . I apply for a FIANCE VISA and got married here in Germany. This kind of visa will give you 90 days to stay in Germany but at this period of time I think you will be married ( just have a Small wedding to shorten time and have a bigger one later ).if you decide to have a Fiance visa please verify first all the new laws and condition cause I apply for it last 2005 so maybe there are few changes happen.
