Hi, me and my wife are going through this at the moment. My first question would be - Do you already have "indefinite leave to remain"? And the second, if you do, why would you want a UK passport. I know Brasil can be a little funny about holding dual nationality and it might be better to keep to your Brasilian citizenship.

But, without sounding like a law student or worse, a politician - the answer is yes. I believe that you must be resident and married for 3-years before application.
