If you're studying at State College the closest ocean beach that you're going to find is going to be somewhere like New Jersey, over 400km away! Seven Points Beach at Raystown Lake in Hesston however will be the closest beach to you. It can be pretty hard to find as it's down a track road, but Seven Points Road is the best place to aim for. It's a beautiful place to go to in the summer and a great place to chill out and relax. It's around 70 km from state so should take you about an hour and fifteen minutes to get there. Here are some directions from college:

• Head northwest on S Allen St toward East Beaver Ave for a about 200 meters

• Turn left onto the PA-26 S/W College Avenue and continue to follow the PA-26 S for 8.6km

• Turn left onto PA-26 S/Mc Alevys Fort Road/Water St then continue to follow PA-26 S/Mc Alevys Fort Rd for a little over 15km

• Once you hit a fork in the road keep right. Drive on for 1.5km

• Turn left onto PA-26 S/Standing Stone Road- continue to follow PA-26 S for 24.5km

• Turn left onto 2nd St

• After about 200m turn right onto PA-26 S/Penn St - continue to follow PA-26 S

• Then after 1.2km turn right onto PA-26 S/Pennsylvania Ave. Follow on the PA-26 S for a further 12km

• Turn left onto 7 Points Rd/Logging Rd 31037/State Route 3011 - continue to follow 7 Points Rd for 8.4km

• After this you'll come to a track road. You can usually drive down here toward the shore. If not just park up and take a look for a good spot to relax!

Hope you find it!
