In a straight line, as the bird flies, London to the middle of Switzerland is a mere 506 miles / 814 km. If you are attempting to travel overland, I would allow about 12 hours of journey time, but it depends hugely which options you take. I suspect you could do it in under 8 hours with Chunnel / TGV, but the Travel agent should be able to advise.
